Job summary

A multinational consultancy in Singapore is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to lead site supervision for mechanical and building construction works in the water industry. Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience and a recognized degree in Mechanical Engineering. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential. Job description

Our client is an MNC Consultancy in the water and wastewater industry. With more than 100-year heritage, helping companies across the globe efficiently and effectively collect, store, move and treat water and wastewater, plan and manage watersheds and harness the energy embedded in the treatment and movement of water.

Contract period: 5 years (renewable/ extendable)
Bonus: yes
Work location: Nanyang Drive

Work Hours: 5.5 days

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the site supervision team on all the Mechanical and Building Construction works.
  • Assist Chief Resident Engineer and Construction Manager on all Mechanical site inspection issues, contract related matters and support the identification of defects and supervise rectification works.
  • Address and respond to all Contractor’s RFI’s and technical submittals. Other work scopes include but not limited to assess method statements/instrumentation reading, coordinate with other discipline engineers and liaise with design team/QP from HQ.
  • Attend all site/project related meetings, discussions with clients and/or Contractors and to lead in technical and work progress discussions.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably recognised by the PE Board, Singapore.
  • Minimum 10 years of construction experience in supervising mechanical works in water/used water treatment works.
  • Registered with IES as Resident Engineer (M&E).
  • A person with good communication and leadership skills.
