Job summary

A leading consultancy in the water sector in Singapore is seeking an experienced engineer to lead site supervision for electrical construction works. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in supervising electrical works in water treatment projects. Responsibilities include managing inspections and liaising with contractors. A degree in Electrical Engineering and IES registration as Resident Engineer (M&E) are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site supervision team on Electrical and Building Construction works.
• Assist the Chief Resident Engineer on electrical inspection issues.
• Address and respond to Contractor’s RFIs and technical submittals.
• Attend site/project related meetings and lead technical discussions.

Our client is an MNC Consultancy in the water and wastewater industry. With more than 100-year heritage, helping companies across the globe efficiently and effectively collect, store, move and treat water and wastewater, plan and manage watersheds and harness the energy embedded in the treatment and movement of water.

Contract period: 2 years (renewable/ extendable)
Work location: Nanyang Drive
Work Hours: 5.5 days

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Lead the site supervision team on all the Electrical and Building Construction works.
• Assist Chief Resident Engineer and Construction Manager on all Electrical site inspection issues, contract related matters and support the identification of defects and supervise rectification works.
• Address and respond to all Contractor’s RFI’s and technical submittals. Other work scopes include but not limited to assess method statements/instrumentation reading, coordinate with other discipline engineers and liaise with design team/QP from HQ.
• Attend all site/project related meetings, discussions with clients and/or Contractors and to lead in technical and work progress discussions.

Requirements:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably recognised by the PE Board, Singapore.
• Minimum 10 years of construction experience in supervising electrical works in water/used water treatment works.
• Registered with IES as Resident Engineer (M&E).
• A person with good communication and leadership skills
