Job summary

Republic Polytechnic's School of Engineering (SEG) invites applications for a full-time Research Staff on a 12-month contract to support a DGF-funded project on Smart Water Treatment in Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS) for land-based fish farms. You will develop prototypes, conduct laboratory research, and validate technology with industry partners.

Responsibilities include experiments, data analysis, system integration, and preparation of reports and publications.

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant engineering or science field.
• Interest in water treatment and aquaculture.
• Knowledge of sensors and data collection is an advantage.
• Experience in lab testing or water quality assessment preferred.
• Strong report writing and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Conduct applied research on smart water treatment for RAS.
• Perform lab experiments, field trials, water quality monitoring, and data analysis.
• Develop, integrate, and evaluate prototype systems and sensors.
• Collaborate with industry partners for validation and deployment.
• Supervise final-year students and interns.
• Support IP development, tech transfer, and commercialization.
