Job description

The candidate will be responsible for managing all research finance matters related to the Future Communications Research & Development Programme (FCP), working closely with Programme Director and Programme Manager.

Main Responsibilities
  • To work closely with SUTD research and finance offices, grant agencies and other stakeholders on administrative matters.
  • To ensure that FCP’s finance processes adhere to institution & grant finance policies/guidelines.
  • To provide administrative and logistical support (make arrangements, setup venue, take meeting notes for selected meetings, etc.) for physical and virtual events, such as meetings, exhibitions, conferences and workshops.
  • To take meeting notes for selected meetings.
  • To ensure accurate fund disbursements to the respective institutions and ensure sufficient cash flow by working with SUTD’s Finance department to prepare and provide half-yearly expenditure reports to the funding agency.
  • To assist with audits relating to FCP KPIs and expenses.
  • To assist with procurement matters for FCP.
  • To prepare yearly FCP progress reports and half-yearly KPI reports to the funding agency.
  • To perform other duties as deemed appropriate by the Programme Director/ Programme Manager to support research activities in the Programme.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years working experience.
  • Working experience in Government, Education or research institutes/industries is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of grant administration would be advantageous and preferred.
  • Good computer literacy and proficiency, especially in MS Office applications.
