Position: Research Scientist (Team leader)

Denka Life Innovation Research Private Limited (DLIR) is established in Biopolis, Singapore, with the aim of securing the Denka Group’s first overseas R&D base specializing in the healthcare and life science field. DLIR’s location and setting are expected to help the company secure and nurture researchers capable of leading cutting-edge R&D projects that involve collaboration with institutions around the world.



Job Description


We are seeking a skilled and experienced Research Scientist to join our diagnostics R&D team in Biopolis, Singapore. The successful candidate will be working as a team leader of both molecular and immunological assay development team. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams in both Singapore and Japan, understanding the target product profile for the intended use, conducting feasibility studies of novel technologies, and ensuring designs meet technical requirements.

Roles and Responsibilities :


  • Lead the new business development activities
  • Propose new research projects, constantly
  • Successful milestone management via clear goal setting.
  • Design for molecular and immunological assays for diagnostics at various stages, including proof-of-concept, prototype design, optimization and validation.
  • Comply with all laboratory safety standards and guidelines
  • Ensure accurate and systematic documentation of laboratory work.
  • Actively provide ongoing training to junior members of the cross-functional teams.


Key Requirements:


Must:

  • PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Microbiology, Immunology or other suitable life science or engineering discipline.
  • At least 3 - 5 years laboratory experience
  • Knowledgeable in diagnostics, and basic life sciences technologies such as molecular-biological and immunological techniques
  • Self-driven player who can multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Working on-site with cross-functional teams

Highly Advantageous:

  • Experience with ISO 13485
  • Bioinformatics with python script
