We are looking for researchers who have a passion in modelling complex large-scale urban systems.
They will work with a team of scientists and engineers that have a passion in understanding the dynamics of large-scale socio-technical systems such as power systems and energy infrastructure or urban transportation (land, air or sea).
Shortlisted candidates would have the opportunity to work with various external collaborators, either from government and/or industry and work on real-world problems, and apply various computational tools including models, simulation and AI to analyse their resilience and efficiency, as well as optimise their planning and operations.
Job Requirements:
- Ph.D in Engineering, Computer Science, Operations Research, or related fields.
- Highly Proficient in Python, Java, or C++ programming.
- Relevant research/project experience in either of these fields:
- Power systems and renewable energy transition.
- Transportation and urban systems.
- Demonstrated experience using either open-source libraries and/or commercial software platforms relevant to the above fields of study would be highly desirable.
- Experience working on large scale real-world datasets would also be a plus.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team
