MP Biomedicals Asia Pacific Pte Ltd is seeking a Research Scientist to design and conduct experiments focused on cell biology, cell culture, media development, and protein-related applications. You will collaborate across functions to support R&D objectives and product development.
The role requires hands-on mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, and cell-based assays, with experience in protein techniques like ELISA and Western blot. Strong communication and record-keeping are essential.
The Research Scientist will play a key role in designing and conducting experiments with emphasis on cell biology, cell culture, media development, and protein-related applications. They will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to support the company's research and product development objectives.
Design and conduct experiments to address research objectives.
Develop and optimize cell culture media and related reagents.
Perform mammalian cell culture and maintain various cell lines.
Design and perform cell-based assays and flow cytometry analysis.
Conduct protein-related experiments, including protein characterization and functional evaluation.
Stay updated on scientific advancements through literature reviews.
Perform laboratory work, including sample preparation, data collection, and analysis.
Interpret results, draw conclusions, and present findings through reports and presentations.
Collaborate with scientists and cross-functional teams on research and product development.
Maintain accurate experimental records in compliance with company policies and quality requirements.
Assist in preparing research proposals, technical documents, and publications.
Participate in scientific conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Master's degree or higher in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Immunology, or related fields.
3-8 years of research experience in academia or industry, with a strong track record of scientific innovation.
Extensive hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture, including NK and T cells, MSCs, and other mammalian cell lines.
Hands-on experience with flow cytometry, cell imaging and cell-based assays.
Experience in protein-related laboratory techniques (e.g., ELISA, SDS-PAGE, Western blot) and protein purification practices is an advantage
Strong knowledge of experimental design, data analysis, and statistical tools.
Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with regulatory requirements (ISO9001 and GMP) and quality standards in scientific research.
