Job description

What the role is:

You conduct research and develop behavioural analysis methodologies to build understanding of the information environment and various actors and audience groups of interest, observing and interpreting human behaviours at various levels of analysis.

What you will be working on:

- Develop research approaches, frameworks, and metrics to analyse data for human behaviour insights- Conduct training and workshops on cognitive science principles and their applications in information activities- Inform decision-making processes and operational planning- Collaborate with partner agencies across MINDEF/SAF and the Defence Technology ecosystem on identified research areasChallenge(s)- Developing new knowledge in an emerging area of behavioural science in the information environment- Adapting to rapidly evolving environments and performing under pressure- Synthesising complex findings and articulating them clearly to diverse audiences

What we are looking for:

- Education in Cognitive Science, Psychology, Human Factors, Neuroscience or a related field- Certifications in cognitive assessment techniques or human-computer interaction is advantageous- At least 10 years of working experience in related fields- Solid understanding of research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative)- Proficiency in statistical analysis- Familiarity with data analysis software and tools (e.g., SPSS, R, Python)- Good awareness of Singapore's political, defence, and security developments- Understanding of current affairs and the regional/international media environment- Strong communication and interpersonal skillsOnly shortlisted candidates will be notified.
