We are seeking to recruit a Research Scientist to work in the field of cell and gene drug development. This is an excellent mid-to-high level job for candidates interested in pursuing industry experience/or developing skillsets in cellular and molecular analysis.
The candidate’s responsibility including the following:
1. Design and draft the experiment plan independently.
2. Execute the experiment with the team, troubleshoot the experimental problems, data collection and analysis, and draft the experiment report.
3. Ensure all experiments and results are recorded completely and systematically.
4. Perform experiments including but not limited to cell culture (such as immune cell culture, tumor cell culture, etc), flow cytometry, cytotoxicity assay, ELISA, qPCR, immunofluorescence, molecular design and cloning, viral vector packaging, virus titer determination and other related experiments.
5. Ensure that standard operating procedures and safety regulations are followed.
6. Assist in supervising, training and guiding new colleagues when required.
7. Read, analyze and interpret scientific papers and patents, and summarize the main points of the literature.
8. Author or review protocols, experiment records, technical reports, and technology transfer documents.
Qualifications:
1. Master’s Degree or PhD degree in Life Sciences, Cell Biology, Immunology, Molecular Biology or in any related field with at least three years of bench work experience.
2. Extensive experience in immune cell culture and stem cell culture is preferred.
3. Strong background and working experience of molecular and cellular biology techniques, such as cell culture, molecular cloning, real-time PCR, ELISA, cytotoxicity assay, and flow cytometry.
4. Strong background of tumor immunology and virology is preferred.
5. With experience of designing experiment protocol, executing the protocol, analyzing data, troubleshooting and making conclusion.
6. Team player and willing to learn.
7. Prior experience in genetic engineering, viral vectors, exosome or nanoparticles characterization is preferred.
8. Prior experience in animal study is a plus.
