We are looking for a research psychologist (psychologist/senior psychologist *) to join our team here at KKH Psychology Service. Your primary role will be to conduct research and evaluation of the Psychosocial and Supportive Care programme (PSCP) for Paediatric Oncology, which is a holistic supportive care programme where our multi-disciplinary team provides children with tailored interventions according to their individual needs. We aim to optimise emotional, cognitive and physical outcomes through timely neuro-psychosocial, rehabilitative, and nutritional care.

You will conduct and provide research support for the evaluation of the program, with development and/or maintenance of databases, select appropriate tools and outcome measures in collaboration with other professionals (i.e. oncology, allied health, nursing, community partners), in line with evidence-based practice, for the complete evaluation of the program. Maintenance of the database with input of data from the clinical/neuropsychologist and other allied health professionals, together with analysis and dissemination of results is required. Experience in research with a publication record is also desirable for this position, as dissemination of any research findings is essential.

There would also be capacity to provide clinical input in the form of comprehensive neuropsychological assessments, screening, and development and delivery of interventions as required and appropriate; particularly in cognitive, psychosocial, and academic functioning. For this aspect, possession of a Doctorate or PhD in clinical or clinical neuropsychology is desirable.

Requirements:

• PhD or PsyD in Clinical Neuropsychology / Clinical Psychology from an accredited university programme.
• Possess an existing registration / membership, or be eligible for membership / registration, with professional psychological bodies, such as the Singapore Psychological Society, Australian Psychological Society.
• Good understanding of child and adolescent development.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and written skills.
• The ability to work with children / people with brain injuries and their families is required.
• Good understanding of brain development and the impact of brain injury on the developing brain.
• Sound formulation skills that can take into account bio-psychosocial elements.
• Sound knowledge of psychometric assessments and competency in administering and interpreting a wide range of neuropsychological assessments (e.g. WISC, WAIS, WPPSI, NEPSY, Vineland, TeaCH, BRIEF).
• Ability to provide sound and ethical professional advice and consultation to other professionals, caregivers and community agencies where necessary.
• Ability to write comprehensive reports with recommendations that are tailored to the adolescent and family.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with good organization skills and time management.
• Ability to ensure timely and high-quality clinical documentation.
• Demonstrate a commitment to clinical excellence and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• A disposition that is resilient, with the ability to work both independently and as a team player in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to speak a second local language and/or dialect is desirable, though not essential, in order to liaise with the local language and/or dialect speaking associates/patients.
