Job description

The incumbent will work as part of an established and nationally funded multi-disciplinary research group that focuses on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The incumbent will work closely with patient cohorts and relevant pre-clinical models; processing biosamples and conducting of experiments to ensure timely achievement of project milestones. The ideal candidate will have a background in handling and processing of patient’s biosamples, maintaining the inventory of biosamples repository, as well as experience in molecular and cell biology functional work.

The successful candidate will thrive in a dynamic and collaborative research environment, working closely with post-docs, clinical coordinators, bioinformaticians, clinicians, and researchers involved in ongoing clinical trials. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge cancer biology research, with the potential to directly impact therapeutic strategies for HCC patients. Expertise in cancer models especially with cell cultures and PDPs, immunohistochemistry, and translational research is highly desirable. There will be opportunities for publications.

Your responsibilities will include:
Handling and processing of clinical biosamples
  • Timely processing of valuable clinical biosamples
Maintaining the database of clinical biosamples
  • Keep track of sample inventory, regular update on the sample numbers
Functional work
  • Able to perform molecular and cell biology functional work
Methodology development and improvement
  • Able to establish the methodology, troubleshoot and run the research independently
Requirements:
