Job description

What you will be working on:

Successful applicant will play an active role in handling, analysing, and mining data to provide meaningful analysis and visualisation for decision making. The key responsibilities include:

• Analyse large amounts of data for trends and patterns, and build predictive models and machine learning algorithms
• Apply sound methodologies in data science, statistical analysis, and data mining
• Perform data visualisation to derive insights and add value to decision making
• Develop automated marking models for different subjects with constructed responses ranging from answers that are one sentence in length to complex answers requiring an essay or analysis

What we are looking for:

• Tertiary Qualification in Data Science, Computer Science, or Statistics, with a minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in manipulating data sets, building statistical models, and hands-on experience in machine learning applications
• Candidates with 0 to 1 year of working experience can be considered
• Strong programming experience and proficiency in Python/R/C++
• Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques, such as clustering, recommender systems, Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, etc., and their real-world applications
• Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts, such as regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, and their proper usage
