Job summary

Smartkarma is a Singapore-headquartered fintech firm inviting a Research Manager to join its Research team in Singapore. The role focuses on growing Bespoke Services by supporting business development, developing proposals and overseeing delivery of projects to completion.

You will report to the Head of Research and work closely with the Research team to onboard Insight Providers, manage performance and identify gaps on the platform.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a research services role.
• Able to handle concurrent projects with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written, oral and electronic communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and business sense.

Responsibilities

• Grow Bespoke Services business, develop strawmans and client proposals.
• Consultatively develop solutions for prospects based on Smartkarma's Bespoke Services.
• Oversee project timelines and ensure delivery quality.
• Own client and service provider relationships from kickoff through completion.

About the job

Smartkarma is looking for a Research Manager to join our Research team in Singapore.

Your key focus will be to grow Smartkarma's Bespoke Services business, from supporting business development activity and developing client proposals, to managing the delivery of projects through to completion. Smartkarma's Bespoke Services clients include asset managers (hedge funds, private equity, venture capital), exchanges and corporates.

You will also support other Research team activities, from onboarding Insight Providers and managing their performance, to identifying research gaps on the platform.

You will report directly to the Head of Research and work closely with members of the Research team.

The role will include, but not be limited to:

1. Growing Smartkarma's Bespoke Services business, and developing strawmans and proposals for your prospects

2. Building a strong understanding of Smartkarma's Bespoke Services to consultatively develop solutions for prospects

3. Overseeing project timelines and the quality of deliverables

4. Owning client and service provider relationships (where needed) from project kickoff through completion

About you

• At least 3 years of experience in a research services role

• Proven ability in handling concurrent projects with attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent written, oral and electronic communication skills

• Excellent analytical skills and a high degree of business acumen

• You love analyzing data and/or financials, and applying your findings/hypotheses to business decisions
