Smartkarma is seeking an Analyst – ASEAN Private Markets to provide ongoing research coverage across important venture capital- and private equity-backed businesses in ASEAN. You will develop proprietary data and metrics tracking, publish high-quality research for institutional investors, and build relationships with industry professionals and clients to support thought leadership.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in equity research, private equity and/or venture capital markets.
• Keen interest to develop an understanding of Singapore and ASEAN private markets, key businesses and industries.
• Demonstrated ability to publish high-quality research and investment insights.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience communicating with senior stakeholders and clients.
• Forward-looking tech and entrepreneurial mindset; comfort leveraging AI tools to publish research and develop proprietary data and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Research and publish high-impact research on venture capital- and private equity-backed businesses and industries in ASEAN for institutional investors.
• Develop and implement proprietary data and metrics tracking, along with research frameworks, to provide commentary on ASEAN business and industry trends and opportunities.
• Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, clients, and media to support primary research and thought leadership.
