Job summary

The Centre for Quantum Technologies at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore invites applications for a Research Fellow position focused on developing a quantum processor based on Neutral Atom Arrays. Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop cold atom apparatus using state-of-the-art technologies.
  • Develop the interface to drive a quantum processor.
  • Report weekly on progress to the principal investigator.
  • Supervise a research team of 4-10 people.

We are seeking a Research Fellow to be in charge of an experimental apparatus aiming to develop a quantum processor based on Neutral Atom Arrays. The role will focus on developing the experiment, data acquisition and analysis, and supervision of undergraduate and PhD students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop cold atom apparatus using state-of-the-art technologies
  • Develop the necessary interface to drive a quantum processor
  • Report at least on a weekly basis on the progress to the principal investigator
  • Supervise a research team of 4-10 people
Job Requirements
  • Holds a PhD degree in Experimental Physics, with specialization in Quantum Physics, Optics, or a related discipline from a recognized university or institution.
  • Possess at least one (1) year of relevant experience in similar research or experimental role.
  • Experience or familiarity with cold atom systems, laser systems, vacuum systems, and photonics.
  • Possess strong skills in experimental design, data acquisition, and data analysis.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a research environment.
  • The candidate should have experience in supervision of undergraduate and/or PhD students.
