The CSCB research groups have diverse programmes in both basic cancer biology and clinical-translational studies, with a special emphasis on cancers that affect the Asian community in general.

The selected candidate will provide leadership and expertise in conducting complex research activities, including but not limited to planning, organising, conducting, and communicating research studies within the overall scope of a research project under the supervision of the Principal Investigator or his/her designate, including but not limited to the following:

  • Application of qualitative and quantitative research techniques which include accurate in-depth assessment, interpretation and evaluation of research outcomes, conceptualise new ideas and develop plans forindependent research which could have a considerable influence and impact on the relevant field in attracting research funding.
  • Independently carry out the design and execution of experimental research required by the research component of the project.
  • Write and review research papers, present research outcomes, conceptualise new ideas and develop plans for independent research which could have a considerable influence and impact on the relevant field attracting research funding.
  • Provide support for external grant/protocol development, study design and management of research activities.

  • Strong expertise in next-generation sequencing technologies and their application in tissue and cell-line models.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cancer chromatin biology, including chromatin structural aberrations and chromatin-modifying enzymes.
  • Proven experience in drug discovery and screening, including assay development, optimisation, compound screening, hit identification and validation, and mechanism-of-action studies.
  • Experience in designing and conducting biochemical, molecular, cellular and cancer dependency assays.
  • Experience in in vivo animal studies, including experimental design, animal handling, dosing and assessment of pharmacological or biological effects.
  • Strong research leadership, scientific independence and a track record of high-impact publications.
