This project aims at addressing various challenges in Metaverse from network perspective to meet the diverse service requirements. It studies metaverse in the context of 5G network slicing and develop techniques based on AI/ML, optimization, and game theory for the problems such as traffic categorization, demand prediction, resource allocation, anomaly detection, and task offloading.
The Research Fellow (RF) will be responsible to develop various techniques as stated above and carry out performance study. The work and findings will lead to top-tier journal and conference publications.
• Possess a PhD in Computer Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Computer Science and related disciplines, with knowledge and experience in one or more areas, 5G, Metaverse, edge computing, AI, machine learning, optimization, and game theory.
• Strong research record with independent research and development capability.
• Open to fixed-term contract.
