The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on mechanics of soft robotics

  • Collaborate with team members (Research Associates, Project Officers, PhD students), and mentor undergraduate students, visiting scholars and researchers

  • Conduct modelling, simulation and experimental research on mechanics of soft robotics

  • Explore applications in the fields of transportation and search and rescue

Requirements:

  • PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering

  • Research experiences in mechanics of materials

  • Good publication record

  • Proficiency in research design and research collaboration

  • Good communication skills and fluent in spoken and written English for research work
