National University of Singapore is seeking a capable candidate to join our photonics research group. The project focuses on developing integrated tunable lasers for quantum sensing, combining semiconductor gain chips with low-loss photonic circuits such as thin-film lithium niobate and silicon nitride to achieve narrow linewidth and frequency-stabilized sources.
The role involves design, fabrication, and optical/electrical characterization of laser devices, with opportunities to explore
We are looking for a capable and motivated candidate to join our research group on integrated photonics. The project aims to develop integrated tunable lasers for quantum sensing applications. The work will combine semiconductor gain chips with low-loss photonic circuits, including thin-film lithium niobate and silicon nitride, to realize narrow-linewidth, tunable and frequency-stabilized laser sources. The candidate will also have the freedom to explore related topics such as nonlinear frequency conversion and electro-optic frequency control.
This position will be in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the National University of Singapore. Successful candidates will be involved in, but not limited to, the following activities:
