Job summary

Duke-NUS is seeking a Research Fellow to join A/Prof Bibhas Chakraborty's team, working with A*STAR on the SG-NEST programme. SG-NEST is led by Prof Neena Modi from IHDP, A*STAR.

The Research Fellow will analyse large and complex datasets, including electronic health records; design scalable algorithmic frameworks; simulate data from in-silico versions of novel adaptive clinical trials, such as SMART; and contribute to high-quality research publications.

Qualifications

• PhD in statistics/biostatistics/computer science, or related quantitative field with some work experience.
• Knowledge in statistics, clinical trial design and ML/AI models.
• Desirable: Bayesian stats, time series, causal inference, neural networks, diffusion models, digital twins, RL.
• Experience in statistical computing, coding (R/Python), large health data, data simulation.
• Prior publications in methodological/computational journals.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-disciplinary teams.
