Job summary

NTU's School of Materials Science and Engineering invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Chemical Engineering to optimize biomass conversion and to upscale flow processes. You will develop a flexible flow platform, implement automation, and contribute to process improvements.

The role requires a PhD in Chemical Engineering or a related field, strong Python skills, and hands-on experience with flow chemistry, reactor design, and PAT.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Experience in Python is required.
• Experience in flow chemistry.
• Experience in reactor design is beneficial.
• Experience in process control and PAT.
• Knowledge and interest in closed-loop optimization.
• Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics.
• Experience with laboratory automation and flow platforms.
• Capable of conducting independent research while collaborating in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Construction of a flexible flow platform to perform small-scale conversions.
• Implementation of its automation and closed-loop optimization.
• Maintenance of lab equipment and procurement liaison with suppliers.
• Produce high quality reports and documents consolidating research findings.
