Job summary

NTU Singapore's Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) invites applications for a Research Fellow to advance sustainable and advanced building technologies. The role focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities, spanning generation to end-use solutions.

The fellow will support research activities and project management, produce outputs, coordinate stakeholders, and assist in securing funding. Strong knowledge in building energy control, AI/ML, and programming is required.

Qualifications

• PhD degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant research experience in building energy/power system control & optimisation.
• Familiarity with BAC systems, AI/ML applications in building energy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in power system modelling and advanced control theory (e.g. MPC).
• Proficiency in programming tools such as MATLAB, Python, Modelica, C/Fortran.

Responsibilities

• Support research activities.
• Support research project management.
• Produce research outputs including reports, publications, and presentations.
• Coordinate stakeholders in research projects.
• Support research strategic development and funding acquisition.
• Support research data management and documentation.
