Job summary

Hyundai-NTU-A*STAR Corporate Lab in Singapore is seeking a Research Fellow to advance AI-driven defect detection for the Manual Assembly Job Quality Inspection project. Qualifications

• PhD required in CS, EEE, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of CV/AI experience.
• Proficiency in Python and C.
• Experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow.
• Understanding imaging hardware and equipment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Strong publication record.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Research Fellow to conduct the research for the project entitled “Manual Assembly Job Quality Inspection”. The role will focus on research and development of AI algorithms for defect detection, image/video analysis and understanding

Key Responsibilities

• Develop artificial intelligence (AI) technologies for defect detection, image/video analysis and understanding.
• Perform system integration of the developed algorithms
• Oversee project budget and coordinate the procurement and maintenance of equipment
• Provide mentorship and academic guidance to students

Job Requirements

• PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in computer vision, artificial intelligence, etc.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C and Python
• Proficiency in deep learning frameworks such as Pytorch and Tensorflow
• Knowledge in imaging and computing devices and equipment
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as a team
• Excellent organizational / time management skills
