NTU’s School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for a research-focused position. The candidate will develop AI-driven methodologies and conduct simulations and experiments across fluids and structures, contributing to high-impact publications and collaborations.

The role emphasizes theoretical and numerical excellence, strong teamwork, and responsible conduct in research, with the NTU MAE infrastructure supporting advanced manufacturing, aerospace, and robotics

Qualifications

  • Possess a PhD degree in Computer Science / Mechanical / Electrical / Aerospace engineering or Physics or related disciplines.
  • Strong theoretical and numerical skillsets are required.
  • Experience in AI and ML in Engineering applications is essential.
  • A proven track record of scientific publications is expected.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork are essential.
  • Strong sense of responsibility for research and work.

Responsibilities

  • Undertake theoretical development of AI and physics-enabled data driven methodologies for fluids and structure.
  • Undertake and numerical simulations and experiments.
  • Innovate and seek technologies for potential applications.
  • Publish quality research articles to disseminate study findings.
  • Undertake project administrations and liaison with collaborators.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on progress.
