ERI@N – Energy Centre of Innovation (“ECOI”) is looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer professional, as part of the team, to support ERI@n-ECOI and sustainability related projects and services, to local SMEs and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of the ECOI team to provide the digitalization support, liaising with both clients and partners to deliver quality digital solutions and sustainability services
  • Design, implement, and optimize a data pipeline that processes EL images.
  • Develop and integrate algorithms for image correction, stitching, and exposure alignment to create system-level composite images.
  • Build and train advanced machine learning models to autonomously detect various PV defects such as hotspots, microcracks.
  • Execute the necessary data preparation & pre-processing, AI-model building, testing, validation and deployment to ensure a reliable and scalable AI solution
  • Ensure seamless integration of processed data into the software platform for continuous model improvement.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze model performance across diverse PV system conditions (e.g., regional climate differences) and iterate for higher accuracy.
  • Work closely with the project manager and hardware team (internal/external) to align the imaging system outputs with the AI processing requirements

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant industry experience in managing and delivering project milestones with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
  • Proven experience managing complex projects in technology, robotics, or renewable energy sectors.
  • Strong familiarity with agile project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary taskss and resolve cross-functional challenges.
  • Experience with industry qualifications in autonomous robots and commercial PV-related projects is a plus.
  • Experience with risk assessment and quality control in tech-driven environments
