The National University of Singapore is the national research university of Singapore. Founded in 1905 as the Straits Settlements and the Federated Malay States Government Medical School, NUS is the oldest higher education institution in Singapore
To conduct research on advanced electrocatalysts for electrochemical water splitting, with a focus on understanding the reaction mechanisms and kinetics of the oxygen evolution reaction (OER). The research will involve advanced electrochemical measurements, operando and in situ characterisation techniques, and investigation of the relationships between catalyst electronic structure, reaction intermediates, and electrocatalytic performance. Computational modelling and AI-assisted materials screening will also be employed to guide the design and discovery of highly efficient electrocatalysts for sustainable hydrogen production.
Master degree or above in chemistry or materials science and engineering.
