Position Summary:
As the R&D Engineering Manager/Director, you will establish and lead a dynamic team of engineers and scientists focused on developing innovative products and technologies. You’ll ensure that our research projects align with strategic objectives and deliver high-quality, market-ready solutions for international users. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for driving innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, execution, and management of R&D projects, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
- Define project goals, milestones, and performance metrics to monitor progress and outcomes.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and market trends to drive innovation and maintain competitive advantage.
- Build and mentor a high-performing R&D team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members, promoting professional growth and development.
- Oversee the design, development, and testing of new products and technologies, ensuring they meet quality standards and market requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, marketing, and manufacturing, for seamless product integration and launch.
- Manage the R&D budget effectively, optimising resource allocation and expenditures.
- Collaborate with third-party organisations and authorities for the adaption of new and advanced technologies.
- Ensure all R&D activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Min. Degree in Engineering or related fields (Electrical, Computer Engineering, or similar disciplines preferred).
- Min. 7 years of relevant working experience, preferably in electronics, computer hardware, or related fields. Candidates with extensive experience will be considered for senior roles.
- Hands-on experience with ORCAD or Cadence Allegro.
- Strong background in graphic cards design or PC hardware development is highly preferred.
- Expertise in AI-related design, with experience in either hardware (e.g., AI accelerators, GPUs, and related systems) or software (e.g., AI models, frameworks) development.
- Dynamic and adept in handling high-pressure environments and meeting project deadlines.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills; fluency in Chinese is a plus for effective interaction with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
