Job summary

NHG Health in Singapore seeks a Clinical Research Assistant to assist Principal Investigators across study phases, from startup to closure. You will recruit and screen participants, manage data with strict ethics compliance, and coordinate with internal/external agencies to monitor study finances and approvals.

The role requires strong English and Mandarin, MS Office proficiency, and the ability to multitask across several projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English and Mandarin; additional Malay and Tamil an advantage.
• MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Principal Investigators in clinical research from start-up to closure activities.
• Recruit patients in the clinic and assist in screening, recruitment and consent taking.
• Manage research data including data entry and data cleaning; ensure ethics/compliance.
• Liaise with internal and external agencies; monitor study finances and advise PI and Dept Admin team.
• Ensure timely submission of progress reports and renewal of IRB and CTC approvals.
• Conduct literature reviews and assist in writing research papers for publication and conference presentation.
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.

• Assist and support Principal Investigators(PI) in their clinical research activities (starting from study start-up till study end including study closure activities) such as:
• Recruit patients in the clinic and assist in screening, recruitment and consent taking of participants;
• Manage research data, data entry, data cleaning and ethics/legal compliance;
• Liaise with relevant internal and external agencies during the course of work;
• Monitor the financial aspects of the assigned study and advise the PI and Dept Admin team;
• Ensure timely submission of progress report to the relevant agencies and authorities and renewal of IRB and CTC approvals;
• Perform literature review and assist in writing research papers for publication and conference presentation.
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Life Sciences, Nursing, or equivalent;
• Working experience in academic or clinical research would be advantageous;
• Proficient in English and Mandarin. Proficiency in Malay and Tamil will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point and Outlook;
• Knowledge in research ethics and preferably completed the CITI;
• Good written and oral communication skills;
• Team-oriented with strong coordination and organisational skills;
• Able to work independently and comfortable to multi-task / handle a few projects concurrently
