Job summary

NHG Health in Singapore seeks an enthusiastic Clinical Research Assistant to support Principal Investigators across the full study lifecycle, from start-up to closure. You will screen patients, obtain consent, and manage data while coordinating with internal and external partners to ensure compliance and progress reporting.

The role requires bilingual communication in English and Mandarin, with additional advantage for Malay or Tamil language skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Biomedical Science or equivalent.
• Experience in academic or clinical research is advantageous.
• Strong written and verbal communication in English and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Assist and support Principal Investigators in clinical research activities from start-up to close-out.
• Screening of eligible patients for recruitment and specimen collection.
• Recruitment and consent taking of participants.
• Manage research data, data entry, data cleaning and ethics/legal compliance.
• Liaise with internal and external agencies during the course of work.
• Monitor the financial aspects of the assigned study and advise the PI.
• Ensure timely submission of progress reports to agencies and renewal of ECOS approvals.
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.

Job description

• Screening of eligible patients for recruitment and specimen collection
• Recruitment and consent taking of participants;
• Manage research data, data entry, data cleaning and ethics/legal compliance;
• Liaise with relevant internal and external agencies during the course of work;
• Monitor the financial aspects of the assigned study and advise the PI;
• Ensure timely submission of progress report to the relevant agencies and authorities and renewal of ECOS approvals;
• Undertake any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• Diploma in Biomedical Science or equivalent;
• Working experience in academic or clinical research would be advantageous;
• Proficient in English and Mandarin. Proficiency in Malay and Tamil will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point and Outlook;
• Knowledge in research ethics and preferably completed the CITI;
• Good written and oral communication skills;
• Team-oriented with strong coordination and organisational skills;
• Able to work independently and comfortable to multi-task / handle a few projects concurrently
