Job summary

The National University of Singapore's Centre for Water Policy (CWP) within IES seeks a proactive Research Associate to contribute to applied research on water policy, governance, and urban water resources management in Singapore and Southeast Asia. The role involves collaborating with PUB and international partners to design studies, analyze data, and disseminate findings.

You will work with leading researchers, support policy dialogues, and help strengthen CWP as a regional platform for water

Qualifications

• Master’s degree with demonstrated interest in water/environmental issues.
• Strong quantitative research background (statistics/econometrics/data analytics).
• Proficient in R, Stata, or Python.
• Rigorous literature review, research design, and report writing.
• Experience in project/research administration and management.
• Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to multi-task and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support and coordinate applied research projects on water policy and governance.
• Contribute to cross-sectoral projects in energy transition, climate change, and sustainable livelihoods.
• Conduct literature reviews, develop research frameworks, and design/execute studies.
• Perform data collection, analysis, and visualization with quantitative emphasis.
• Draft and edit research reports, policy briefs, and academic manuscripts.
• Assist in project management and research administration.
• Organize seminars, workshops, and policy dialogues.
