The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) conducts research in structural engineering, sustainable construction and infrastructure resilience. The successful candidate will join a research team working on structural fire engineering, with opportunities to contribute to experimental investigations, numerical modelling and advanced computational methods. We are looking for a Research Associate to investigate the behaviour and performance of structures under fire conditions. The role will involve structural fire analysis, numerical simulations, experimental investigations and the exploration of AI-assisted approaches for structural fire engineering.

Job Requirements

• Experience with finite element software such as ABAQUS, SAFIR or ANSYS would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of structural fire engineering or experimental structural testing would be an advantage.
• Programming skills in Python or MATLAB and interest in AI applications would be beneficial.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills.
