Job description

Position: Research Associate

The National Institute of Education invites applications for the position of Research Associate on a 12-month contract in the Psychology and Child and Human Development Department. There is a possibility of renewal for another 12 months based on performance.

Project Title: Youth Mental Health

Project Introduction: This series of projects aims to investigate factors influencing stress and coping among youth in the context of climate change challenges and social media influences. The main responsibilities include conducting systematic literature reviews and contributing extensively to report writing. Experience and skills in systematic reviews are advantageous. Additional duties involve supporting project implementation using various psychological research methods, including online surveys and intervention trials. The Research Associate will work collaboratively within a team, gaining valuable competencies in psychological research and methods.

Requirements:
  • Master’s Degree in Psychology from a reputable university
  • Relevant research experience, especially in literature review and proposal writing
  • Excellent writing skills with publication experience
  • Proficiency with online survey tools such as Qualtrics and statistical analysis programs like SPSS
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work independently
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate within a research team
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct systematic literature reviews
  • Contribute to report writing
  • Support project implementation, including participant recruitment, administration of online surveys, psychological assessments (including interviews), and facilitating prevention/intervention programs
  • Maintain survey datasets and data management systems
  • Perform behavioral coding and data entry
  • Analyze data and report findings
  • Provide administrative support and assist in report writing for projects
  • Support student research projects
  • Perform other research tasks as assigned by the Principal Investigator
