The Institute for Environment & Sustainability (IES) is seeking proactive and enthusiastic candidates for a full-time Research Associate position. The successful candidate will be part of our team focused on climate and sustainability policy design, policy dialogues, and transition pathways in Singapore, Southeast Asia, Asia, as well as within transnational and global governance initiatives.

Research Associates will engage in research projects and contribute to the development of the Institute through seminars, workshops, and policy dialogues.

Job Scope
  • Assist in events management for the Institute
  • Support Principal Investigators (PIs) with research and project administration
  • Contribute to ongoing applied research on water policy and governance, including:
    • Conduct literature reviews
    • Design, prepare, and execute research studies
    • Analyze qualitative and quantitative research data and compile reports
    • Prepare manuscripts for publication and reports
Job Requirements
  • Able to start soon
  • Master’s degree in economics or another social science discipline, with interest in water and/or environmental issues
  • Strong skills in literature review and report writing
  • Experience in conducting quantitative and/or qualitative research analysis
  • Experience in project/research administration and management
  • Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task, and work independently
