Research Associate
The Health Intervention and Policy Evaluation Research Centre (HIPER) (https://hiper.nus.edu.sg/) at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH), NUS, is seeking to hire research staff with relevant experience to support work on health technology assessment (HTA).
The Research Associate will play a critical role in the development of HIPER’s growing research agenda to support health policy and services research in Singapore and the region, gaining the opportunity to work with leading experts and policy makers in the field. The successful candidate will be expected to perform research administration, conduct research, disseminate research findings, and be involved in capacity building through conducting workshops for local and regional participants. Requirements:
• A master’s degree in related fields such as Statistics/ Economics/ Public Health/ Engineering/ Computer Science/ Mathematics
• Knowledge of probability and data analysis (statistics and/ or econometrics)
• Use of software like R or Python or STATA
Applicants with following attributes are preferred:
• Careful, detail-driven, and collaborative personality
• Experience of data preparation, especially with electronic medical records, observational data, survey data and clinical trial data
• Experience of mathematical modelling, especially with Markov cohort model/ discrete event simulation/ dynamic transmission modelling
• Experience of data management with SQL
• Interest in medical knowledge
• Keen to support HTA capacity building in the Southeast Asia Region
