Job Description

The SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute (SDGHI) is an enabling platform for global health activities across the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre. The Institute aims to address current and emerging health challenges across ASEAN member states and in other Asian countries. Working in collaboration with partners, the Institute seeks to tackle prevalent health challenges, strengthen health systems and better insulate countries from pandemics and disease threats.

We are recruiting a Research Associate to support the efforts of its Global Health Programme Evaluation Unit. The successful candidate will primarily support the evaluation of programmes organised by SDGHI and SingHealth’s International Collaboration Office, working with local and regional stakeholders to advise and contribute to the development of evaluation plans for these programmes.

Your responsibilities will include synthesising analysis of the regional healthcare landscape and published literature, conducting programme evaluations, performing relevant analyses, and presenting findings to stakeholders. You will also contribute to funding proposals, reports, and scientific manuscripts. Additionally, you will offer technical guidance on analytics and evaluation, and support the development of training workshops for staff.

Your specific duties may include:

  • Ensuring the success of project evaluations in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and evaluating project performance against targets and proposing improvement actions.
  • Supporting data collection activities, defining analysis processes, conducting statistical analyses, and tracking project initiatives.
  • Proposing study protocols and data evaluation strategies, analyzing data for trends, and communicating insights.
  • Assisting in identifying publication opportunities and drafting abstracts and manuscripts.
  • Designing data-driven initiatives to improve population health outcomes.
  • Supporting evidence-based strategy formulation and communication of projects.
  • Driving planning processes aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Providing secretariat support for meetings and events.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Public Health, Applied Research, Clinical Research or MD / MBBS with at least 2 years of relevant experience in health systems or global health research.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications and analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, NVivo, Tableau).
  • Familiarity with Implementation Research, Evaluation Typology, and Health Policy and Systems Research concepts.
  • Experience in programme evaluation is advantageous.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Initiative and ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Commitment to ethics, equity, diversity, and social justice principles.
