Job summary

NTU Singapore’s College of Computing and Data Science (CCDS) invites applications for a research-focused role in computer vision and multimodal AI. The successful candidate will design, train, and evaluate deep learning models using Python and PyTorch, and contribute to cutting-edge projects in imaging and AI4X topics.

You will prepare and curate datasets, run experiments, review literature, report progress to the PI, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to advance the project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Independent, analytical, proactive and a team player.
• Excellent teamwork and verbal, written communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge relevant to the project domain.
• Demonstrated capability to conduct innovative research.
• Ability to adapt and incorporate novel ideas in scientific work.
• Ability to formulate hypotheses and design effective experiments.

• Oversee and report project progress.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and development in computer vision, multimodal learning, medical/industrial imaging, and related AI4X topics.
• Design, implement, train, and evaluate deep learning models and research prototypes using Python/PyTorch and related tools.
• Prepare and curate research datasets, conduct experiments, and perform rigorous result analysis.
• Review literature and identify baselines, datasets, evaluation protocols, and opportunities.
• Contribute to reports, project deliverables, papers, code repositories, and presentations.
• Work closely with the PI and collaborators, participate in research meetings, and support collaborative activities.
• Perform other research-related duties as assigned by the PI to support project objectives.
