Applications are invited for the following full-time position in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health within the Telehealth Core:

Research Assistant (NUS eHealth Projects)

At the Telehealth Core, we leverage technology & design to accelerate research and improve outcomes in behavioural health & chronic diseases. We focus on delivering tailored interventions in healthcare by building digital tools and harnessing the insights from users and patients.

Are you passionate about exploring the intersection of technology and human behavior? Do you thrive in research environments and enjoy translating complex ideas into impactful publications? If so, we’re looking for a UX Research Assistant to join our team and drive innovation in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI).

About the Role

As a UX Research Assistant, you will:

  1. Conduct in-depth research in HCI, with a focus on user experience and usability.
  2. Author and contribute to academic papers, reports, and other publications.
  3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate research findings into product development.
  4. Conduct user studies, analyze data, and provide actionable insights to improve products and services.
  5. Stay updated on the latest trends and methodologies in HCI and UX design.

What We’re Looking For

  1. Educational Background: Master’s degree in HCI, UX, Interaction Design, Psychology, or a related field.
  2. Research Skills: Demonstrated experience in academic or applied research, with strong skills in qualitative and quantitative methods.
  3. Writing Proficiency: A proven track record of writing research papers, reports, or publications in HCI or related fields.
  4. Product Development Knowledge: Understanding of the product development lifecycle and the role of UX research in driving innovation.
  5. Health Sector Advantage: Experience in healthcare-related research or product design is a strong plus.
  6. Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams and communicate complex ideas clearly.
