Position: Research Assistant / Research Officer (Yearly Contract, Renewable)

Department: North Region

Job Description:

Cognition Function in Psychiatric Illnesses (The CONCISE Study) is a comprehensive cognitive epidemiology study within a local population. It is part of a broader initiative involving as an Asian mental health cohort at Institute of Mental Health. The study seeks to integrate cognitive phenotyping with clinical outcome data to advance understanding and treatment of psychiatric illnesses.

Job Responsibilities:

You will be involved in its preparatory work, and conduct related activities such as recruiting study participants, administering interviews, maintenance of databases, data analyses, and preparation of research reports and manuscripts. There will be opportunities to present research findings at local or international conferences. You will also provide administrative support for research projects, including grant applications and project management.

Requirements:

Competency

  1. Experience with statistical analysis or programming languages would be advantageous.
  2. Fluent in spoken and written English. Proficiency liaising in other languages or dialects will be an advantage.
  3. Resourceful and able to work independently.
  4. Good communication skills and interpersonal skills.

Educational and Professional Requirements

  1. At least a Degree in Psychology, Science, or similar disciplines.
