Le Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) de l'Université Nationale de Singapour recherche un ingénieur réseau pour un projet sur les technologies de communication quantique. The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) in Singapore brings together physicists, computer scientists and engineers to do basic research on quantum physics and to build devices based on quantum phenomena. Experts in this new discipline of quantum technologies are applying their discoveries in computing, communications, and sensing.
CQT is hosted by the National University of Singapore. The Centre also has staff at the Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, and the Singapore University of Technology and Design. Job Description

National Safe Quantum Network (NQSN) is a nationwide platform and a field-deployed testbed for quantum-safe communication technologies. The testbed performs the evaluation of quantum-safe security aspects and demonstrates the integration of quantum-safe applications, best practices, and use cases.

We are looking for a candidate who can actively contribute to:

  • Technical support in deploying, configuring, operating, and maintaining the Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) networks across the NQSN nodes
  • Management of Layer 1–3 networking: physical cabling, VLANs, IP subnetting, static routing, IP address management (IPAM), DHCP, DNS, network configurations
  • Rack management and server provisioning, including Linux-based environments; scripting (Python or Shell) for automation and system support
  • Supporting real-time network monitoring and diagnostics via SNMP, Grafana, and other
  • tools, and managing the database
  • Acting as Point-of-Contact for ad-hoc maintenance and field support
  • Diagnosing and solving technical issues in the quantum-safe network infrastructure
  • Reporting progress updates to the team on a regular basis
  • Participate in related NQSN activities as assigned
Job Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Solid knowledge in Computer network & engineering
  • Experience in network engineering (TCP/IP, VPNs, routing, VLANs, DNS, DHCP)
  • Familiarity with physical networking and infrastructure
  • Experience of virtualized environments and Linux server management
  • Basic programming skills such as Python, Shell
  • Open-minded and willing to learn new technologies
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to resolve technical problems
  • Technical writing and presentation skills

Candidates possessing additional skills relevant to the position will be given preference:

  • Hands on experience in PKI and certificate (X.509)
  • Experience in SNMP-based monitoring and simple time-series/database queries with Grafana
  • Solid knowledge in cybersecurity, cryptography, information security
  • Knowledge in QKD and PQC
