Job Description

The Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy is seeking a Research Assistant who will assist with ongoing projects.

The employee will assist with the administration, coordination, and execution of social science research involving surveys, text analysis, and historical analysis. This includes:

• General project and task management;
• Survey design, implementation, and analysis;
• Academic research/literature reviews.

The employee should also have training in statistics, statistics programming languages like R, and applied data analysis for social science. Additionally, the RA will help the Principal Investigator with general administrative assistant work. This position is ideal for candidates interested in an academic career, such as pursuing a Ph.D.

Job Requirements

• Masters-level degree in a social science field (esp. political science, economics, or psychology); or a Bachelor’s degree with extensive research assistant experience.
• Demonstrate strong programming skills using R (experience with other programs is a plus).
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Self-motivated and attention to details.
