Job description

As a University of Applied Learning, SIT works closely with industry in our research pursuits. Our research staff will be able to equip themselves with applied research skill sets relevant to industry demands while working on research projects at SIT.

The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on an industry innovation research project where you will be part of the research team to examine the effects of the IMR Self-Management Programme for individuals experiencing major depressive disorders in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in and manage the research project with the Principal Investigator (PI), co-PI, and the research team members to ensure the achievement of all project deliverables.

  • Undertake these responsibilities in the project:

  1. oversee the general management of the project;

  2. undertake the day-to-day running of the project at the study site (such as recruitment, provision of intervention, and data collection);

  3. provide administrative and secretarial support to the project, such as organizing regular meetings to maintain regular communication with other members of the research team and collaborate with the study sites;

  4. undertake the day-to-day running of the project at the study site, e.g. collaborate with team members at the study sites, recruitment, and data collection at the study site;

  5. conduct literature searches, using SPSS to enter data, analyze data and maintain the trial database, as well as assist in preparing both progress and final reports of the project;

  6. maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping per policies and procedures; assist in ethical application, amendment and submission of annual and final reports; and

  7. work on other tasks as assigned.

  • Carry out Risk Assessment, and ensure compliance with Work, Safety and Health Regulations.

  • Coordinate procurement and liaise with vendors/suppliers.

  • Work independently and within a team to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.

Job Requirements:

  • Have relevant competence in the areas of conducting research

  • Have a degree in health sciences-related studies.

  • Knowledge of using SPSS, MS Office will be advantageous
