Job summary

NEXT LEVEL GENOMICS PTE. LTD. is seeking a Research Assistant to support long-read sequencing (PacBio Revio, ONT PromethION) and spatial genomics projects from sample receipt to data handover.

You will help optimize protocols and assist with tissue preparation, QC, library prep, and data transfer to bioinformatics, collaborating with internal teams to meet project timelines. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in a wet-lab setting and familiarity with Linux, Python or R.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• 1–2 years of laboratory experience.
• Hands-on nucleic acid extraction, QC and library prep.
• Experience with PacBio or ONT workflows is a plus.
• Familiarity with Linux, Python or R is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support long-read sequencing with PacBio Revio and ONT PromethION.
• Assist spatial genomics workflows and tissue prep.
• Develop and troubleshoot protocols; write SOPs.
• Track samples, metadata and data handover prep.
• Maintain lab records and support project timelines.
