Job summary

Public Service Division invites applications for Agriculture Research and Innovation Centre - Research Assistant (Crop variety screening and development). You will conduct R&D activities on green leafy vegetables in a controlled environment, support screening and climate-room experiments, and prepare samples for analyses.

The role requires at least 2 years in plant science, with experience in hydroponics/urban agriculture considered a plus, and strong data analysis as well as communication

Qualifications

• Must have background in plant science or related life sciences.
• Experience applying quantitative approaches to crop growth analysis.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct R&D on green leafy vegetables growth under controlled environments.
• Assist in crop variety screening and climate-room experiments to test varieties.
• Plan and prepare plant samples for biochemical analyses to study heat tolerance.
• Analyze data and prepare tables/figures for project reports.
• Carry out procurement: liaise with vendors, source materials, coordinate testing and purchase requests.
• Coordinate with industry partners to plan farm trials and data collection.
