Job summary

NTU Singapore is seeking a Research Assistant to support the ATTAIN*SG project on achieving public trust in AI for autonomous vehicles in Singapore. The role involves literature searches, survey development and analysis, and assisting with publications and presentations.

You will collaborate with an international research team, contribute to progress and final reports, and help disseminate findings under the supervision of the Principal Investigator. Shortlisted candidates only will be contacted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communication, psychology, sociology or related social science field.
• Experience with survey methodology for social science research.
• Strong quantitative data management and analysis skills (SPSS/MPLUS/R/Python).
• Excellent written and spoken communication, plus organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Conduct literature search to inform study design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct literature search
• Assist in development and conceptualization of a survey
• Assist in analysis of survey data
• Contribute to research publications and presentations
• Assist in writing progress report and final research report
• Engage in the dissemination of the results of the research with the support of and under the supervision of the Principal Investigator
• Organize a conference related to the theme of the project
• Carry out administrative work associated with the program of research as necessary

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in fields including communication, psychology, sociology, or a social science related discipline
• Prior experience in survey methodology for social science research
• Good quantitative data management and analytical skills (e.g., being able to analyze data using SPSS, MPLUS, R, and/or Python)
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative and multi-cultural team environment
• Team player in a project setting, also with ability to work independently in a multi-cultural team environment
• Must demonstrate initiative and good interpersonal communication skills
• Prior experience in autonomous vehicles research
• Internationally recognized research track record as evidenced by journal publications and conference presentations
