Job summary

National University of Singapore is seeking a research assistant to support a range of studies, including planning, coordinating and day-to-day execution of research projects.

You will conduct literature reviews, assist with data extraction and cleaning, and help prepare documentation such as protocols and data dictionaries. Collaboration with clinical and research teams is essential, with emphasis on data quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related health/science field.
• Experience in clinical/public health research or data-related projects is advantageous; entry-level considered.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Excel; basic knowledge of at least one statistical tool/language (STATA/SPSS/SAS/R/Python).
• Familiarity with REDCap and reference management tools is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving and willingness to learn new methods.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders in a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and support day-to-day research activities.
• Conduct literature reviews and evidence synthesis; manage references and summaries.
• Assist with data extraction, cleaning, coding and basic analyses, ensuring data quality and confidentiality.
• Support participant recruitment, consent, surveys and medical-record review where applicable.
• Prepare study documentation: protocols, case report forms, data dictionaries and training materials.
• Assist with ethics/regulatory submissions and grant reporting under supervision.
• Coordinate project activities, meetings, milestones and stakeholder liaising.
• Support seminars, workshops and academic events; assist in dissemination of findings.
