Applications are invited for the following full-time position in the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health:

Research Assistant/Research Associate

The Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health (SSHSPH) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Assistant/Associate to contribute to interdisciplinary projects within the PANDA programme, focusing on the coordination and implementation of research activities. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative research environment at the intersection of public health, behavioural science, and digital technologies.

Key responsibilities include:
• Assist in the coordination and implementation of research projects, including participant recruitment, onboarding, and data collection
• Contribute to the preparation of study-related documentation such as IRB submissions, progress reports, and protocol updates.
• Support the deployment and assist in troubleshooting of mobile apps used in projects
• Coordinate logistics for research projects (e.g., tracking recruitment rates, managing survey schedules, supporting participant communications).
• Maintain project delegation logs and ensure timely documentation of study activities.
• Support preparation of research presentations, grant applications, and manuscripts as required
• Provide administrative support for the PANDA programme activities such as website updates and internal communications

The Research Assistant/Associate will work closely with members of the Physical Activity and Nutrition Determinants in Asia (PANDA) research programme: https://blog.nus.edu.sg/sphpanda/. PANDA is one of the major research programs of the SSHSPH including faculty members from a variety of disciplines. PANDA aims to understand determinants of nutrition and physical activity behaviours in Asian populations and develop interventions to improve these behaviours and contribute to the prevention of non-communicable diseases and mental well-being.

Requirements:
• A Bachelor's or Masters degree in Public Health, Psychology, Social Sciences, Life Sciences, or related field.
• Prior experience in research coordination, preferably in health-related or academic settings is highly desirable.
• Comfortable using digital tools and platforms, including Microsoft Office and survey platforms (e.g., Qualtrics, REDCap)
• Basic understanding of quantitative or qualitative research methods is preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently and in a team.
• Organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks and timelines.
• A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, particularly towards solving problems and managing dynamic tasks.
