Job summary

Mercor is seeking detail-oriented individuals to support a research project with a leading AI lab. The role targets 2–3 years of experience in STEM or non-STEM fields or current postgraduate students, with duties focused on benchmarking and improving cutting-edge AI models.

A MacBook with an M-series chip is required, and the position offers a part-time commitment of 10–20 hours per week in Singapore. Immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• All experts must have a Macbook with M-series chip.
• Masters or 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong online research and written communication skills.
• Ability to summarize information clearly from diverse sources.
• Interdisciplinary background is a bonus.
• Macbook must meet Apple Silicon compatibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality research questions, answers, and evaluation materials to train advanced language models.
• Summarize information from diverse sources clearly and concisely.
• Support benchmarking and improvement of AI models with structured tasks.
• Start immediately and work approximately 10–20 hours per week.

Role Overview:

Mercor is looking for detail-oriented individuals with 2-3 years of experience in STEM, non-STEM fields, or currently enrolled postgrad college students to support a research project with a leading AI lab. You will help benchmark and improve cutting-edge AI models.

Qualifications:

• Required: All experts on this project must have a Macbook device with an 'M' series chip to perform tasks on.

• Currently pursuing or recently completed Masters studies, or have 2-3 years of relevant experience + Bachelors from a prestigious institution

• Strong online research and communication skills

• Ability to gather and clearly summarize information from diverse sources

• Excellent written communication skills

• Interdisciplinary degree is a nice to have

• Must have a Macbook with one of the following requirements:

  • Apple Silicon (ARM) Macs

  • M-series MacBook Pro, or

  • MacBook Air models running macOS 15 or higher

Job Details:

• Part-time commitment of approximately 10-20 hours per week

• Responsibilities include creating high-quality research questions, answers, and evaluation materials to train advanced language models

• Clearly structured responsibilities without the high pressure typically found in internships or full-time consulting roles
