Job description

What you’ll do

In this role, you will assist the fixed income financing efforts of the firm in APAC. This role requires a large degree of autonomy and would suit a self-starter looking to make an impact. Specifically, you will:

  • Maintain trade life cycles and position management
  • Execute and book trades and ensure settlement
  • Identify trade discrepancies and ensure timely resolution
  • Compile and distribute market color to traders and portfolio managers
  • Maintain and leverage relationships with counterparties
  • Continuously look to improve existing processes
  • Become the trusted go-to person for APAC fixed income financing to portfolio managers, execution traders, and other internal stakeholders
  • Partner with colleagues across the Treasury team within APAC and globally on initiatives including, but not limited to:

o Enhancing data, reporting, and workflow technology to improve efficiency

o Strategically advancing the firm’s partnerships with key counterparties

o Exchanging subject matter expertise with colleagues in other functions

  • Partner with Compliance, Tax, Technology, and Operations
What’s required
  • At least two years of experience in an APAC repo trading role
  • Strong working knowledge of sovereign fixed income markets, knowledge of credit and emerging markets desirable
  • Ability to build meaningful sell-side relationships with an understanding of the need to maintain gross balances with individual dealers
  • Good understanding of BoJ operations and general JPY money market functionality
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate market color to traders and portfolio managers
  • Ability to work independently and drive initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
  • Strong understanding of Operations’ role within a hedge fund and the trade settlement process
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and D2C repo execution systems like GLMX, Tradeweb, and BTQ.
  • Experience using Bloomberg
