Job summary

Nanyang Power Solutions, an NTU spin-off, is building AI-native energy management for distributed energy resources. Based on the NTU campus, you will support pilot deployments of PV and battery storage, collect energy data, and collaborate with ERI@N researchers and industry partners on VPP use cases.

You will also prepare technical reports, coordinate projects with the CEO, travel within Southeast Asia, and assist with procurement and documentation, while using Python for data analysis and AI

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems or related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience or internships.
• Knowledge of solar PV and/or battery storage systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis.
• Experience using AI tools for coding, data analysis and writing.

Responsibilities

• Support pilot deployments of PV and battery storage systems: site surveys, data integration, testing and commissioning.
• Collect, clean and analyse energy data; support forecasting and optimisation work.

About us

Nanyang Power Solutions is an NTU spin-off building AI-native energy management for distributed energy resources such as solar PV, battery storage and EV charging. We help users get more out of their energy assets and connect them to electricity markets. This role is part of our collaboration with the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N), and you will be based on the NTU campus.

What you'll do

• Support pilot deployments of PV and battery storage systems: site surveys, data integration (Modbus/IoT), testing and commissioning
• Collect, clean and analyse energy data; support forecasting and optimisation work
• Work with ERI@N researchers and industry partners on energy management and virtual power plant (VPP) use cases
• Prepare technical reports, presentations and grant deliverables
• Support the CEO with project coordination and day-to-day operations: scheduling, procurement, partner communication and documentation
• Travel occasionally within Southeast Asia for site work and industry events
• Provide administrative and travel support, such as arranging business trips and visa applications

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems or a related field
• At least 1 year of relevant experience, including internships
• Working knowledge of solar PV and/or battery storage systems
• Proficiency in Python for data analysis
• Strong hands-on use of AI tools (e.g. Claude, ChatGPT) for coding, data analysis and writing
• Professional proficiency in English and Mandarin, as the role involves regular communication with our partners and team in China
• Organised and proactive, comfortable switching between technical work and coordination
• Applicants must be eligible to work in Singapore

Nice to have

• Experience with Modbus, SCADA, EMS or cloud platforms
• Exposure to electricity markets, demand response or VPP

• Salary: S$4,500-6,500 per month
