Job summary

Agilent Technologies Inc. is seeking a senior software engineer to design and implement simulation, Digital Twin, and Physical AI solutions for intelligent automation and robotics in a manufacturing context.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, strong Python/C++ skills, and expertise in 3D simulation, robot kinematics, and CI/CD practices. You will collaborate with software, robotics, and controls teams to deliver scalable simulation assets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience in software/robotics or related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++, with solid object-oriented design knowledge.
• Experience developing simulation, robotics, Digital Twin, or automation software.
• Understanding of 3D simulation, physics-based modeling, robot kinematics, motion, sensors, or perception systems.
• Experience with Git, APIs, modular software architecture, automated testing, and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, tests, maintains, and debugs simulation, Digital Twin, and Physical AI software for intelligent automation and robotics.
• Builds simulation environments, virtual equipment and robot models to accelerate automation development.
• Creates reusable APIs, libraries, plugins, data pipelines, and integration frameworks for simulation and robotics stacks.
• Collaborates with engineers across software, robotics, mechanical, electrical, and controls disciplines to validate automated concepts.
• Mentors engineers through architecture and code reviews and simulation methodology guidance.
